Did this man really play drums on Jeff_Wayne's_Musical_Version_of_The_War_of_the_Worlds? If not, then that page shouldn't link here. Billranton 14:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No he didn't, see here. Have changed the link on the other article. Khukri 13:57, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Decline of the Church in Wales

[edit]

The article makes no mention of the halving of the membership of the Church in Wales during Morgan's tenure. The figures are available from the Church in Wales' own web-site. Noting the decline in numbers would balance an overtly favourable article about a 'controversial' church leader.

Longest serving archbishop - or primate?

[edit]

Although I would expect the Church in Wales's own website to know the difference, I seem to recall that some sources at the time of Abp Morgan's resignation claimed that he was the longest serving Primate, rather than that he was the longest-serving Archbishop, in the Anglican Communion. Although the same person holds both titles in the Church in Wales, this is not so with many Anglican Churches (eg Canada, Australia, Nigeria). The list on the page Primates of the Anglican Communion, though now updated, would suggest that Barry Morgan would have been the longest serving Primate in 2017. But in the larger Anglican churches some Archbishops are not primates.Ntmr (talk) 17:26, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Description as "retired Welsh Anglican bishop"

[edit]

@148.252.132.206 This description of Rt Revd Barry Morgan seems to me to be self-evidently correct, and supported by the sources which are cited. It has, however, been deleted four times. To justify the deletion on the basis "removed inaccurate language" invites more detailed, reasoned discussion. To delete words repeatedly without justification begins to look like vandalism. Unless there can be proper discussion of the issue, then I would seek protection of this Article from edits other than those by users who are willing to put their user name to the edit.Ntmr (talk) 18:52, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

greetings. The words are confusing. More than one description accurately. 148.252.133.43 (talk) 07:59, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
